One of the things you're about to learn about me is that a fashion blogger I am NOT.
The arm to hip pose. The strategic leg placement at just the right angle. Not looking like a stiff awkward mannequin?? How do fashion bloggers do it?
Need a blob of blueberry sauce draped over pound cake? I'm your gal. But looking fashionably comfortable in pictures showcasing clothes? Can't help you.
But what I "can" help you do when it comes to fashion is take some stress out of shopping by introducing you to Stitch Fix!
Today's post is a part of our new ReDux partnership with Stitch Fix -- a personal styling service tailored to your taste, budget and lifestyle.
Have you heard of them? I've actually been using Stitch Fix for years! I've worn Stitch Fix outfits from Madrid to Maui and constantly get compliments on the outfits I've been sent. The thing I've loved about Stitch Fix from the beginning is that the clothes show up on your doorstep, styled for you based on your personal taste.
You keep what you want, send back what you don't. The only cost involved (if you don't buy anything) is a $20 styling fee. Prices of the clothes can vary quite a bit, but you have the option to tell your stylist what type of budget you prefer. Seldom have I ever gotten a "fix" that I didn't find at least one piece that I liked... and bonus, that $20 styling fee counts toward whatever you purchase.
Over the years I've receive some key wardrobe pieces that I wear regularly. Here are some of my more popular pieces (and yes, I know... there's a theme here. I'm working on a capsule wardrobe that is apparently based in navy/black/strips, ha!)
I've found that the key with getting the most out of your "fix" is to provide feedback each time you get a shipment (they have a streamlined check out system that lets you provide feedback on what you liked, didn't like and why). And while with most shipments I get I keep something, occasionally I'm not inspired and simply ask for a new fix to arrive sooner than scheduled. That's the great thing about it. It's flexible to what YOU need and YOU want when YOU want it.
About the "fixes"
Your fixes come neatly packed in a box that arrives via mail.
Within each package are the clothes plus styling cards.
The styling cards can be super helpful if you receive something that you're not "quite" sure how it would fit into your wardrobe. After you've tried everything on (and taken much more beautiful pictures than I managed above), you "check out" online and ship back (in a shipping ready bag that's included in the "fix") anything you don't want.
...and you never had to even leave the house or brush your hair to go shopping. That's my kind of convenience!
