If you're anything like me, you're already anticipating a food- and family-filled Thanksgiving. There will be the dishes you slave over, the new ones you try out with high hopes for success, the routine ones everyone loves... and then, the ones that save the day based on how easy they are to make and how well they're received by guests. 

And that's where this recipe comes in:

This Gluten Free 4 Ingredient Brownie Banana Bread is crazy easy and a fun addition to your dessert table, especially for gluten free guests (like my husband) who often get overlooked when it comes to baked holiday goods. Where gluten free baking can sometimes be a little temperamental for even proficient bakers, starting with a gluten free brownie mix takes the guess work out of baking up a bread that's moist, but not gummy, sliceable, but not dry.

Plus, the banana and chocolate combo is special enough to take this beyond simply whipping up a box of brownie mix for guests. And if you have it in your packed cooking schedule to stir up just a few more ingredients, I highly suggest a little combo of 1 tablespoon each Nutella and peanut butter, microwaved on HIGH 30 seconds, stirred well and drizzled over the top. It will be a show stopper for sure and only you will know that in 6 ingredients got you a starring spot on the dessert table.

Gluten Free 4 Ingredient Brownie Banana Bread

Yield

Makes 1 loaf (approx. 12 servings)

Ingredients

  • 2 large, ripe bananas
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup canola oil
  • 1 (16-ounce) box gluten free brownie mix (I used ALDI liveGfree)

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees F. Coat just the bottom of a 9-inch loaf pan with cooking spray.
  2. Mash bananas well with a fork. Add eggs and oil; beat with an electric mixer until combined. Add brownie mix and mix until smooth. Spoon batter into prepared pan.
  3. Bake for 1 hour and 15 minutes or until wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean. Let cool in pan 10 minutes. Remove from pan and cool on wire rack.
