Welcome to the new Healthy Aperture Blog!

Welcome to the new Healthy Aperture Blog!

Call it way overdue or simply a welcome addition to the site, the new Healthy Aperture blog launches today!

Led by a team of Editors with experience in nutrition, recipe development, fitness & photography, the new HA blog will feature topics that have been most popular with our visitors since the site launched in 2011, including Athlete Eats, Global Garden, Gluten Free Kitchen and more….

Why did we decide to launch a blog?

(Other than I can’t say no to a good idea?)

If there’s one shortcoming I’ve always felt was an issue on Healthy Aperture, it’s the lack of opportunity to engage with our fellow bloggers. Sure, we review and post hundreds of your images every week, so we’re on top of what you all are blogging about. But what’s happening in the kitchens of our team? We want to share that with you. And we also want to give you, our valued contributors, a chance to share your work beyond the image galleries. If you’d like to be considered for guest posts to the new Healthy Aperture Blog, let us know!

On a personal note, this also marks my retirement from The Professional Palate. My first foray into the blogging community, The Professional Palate will always be a special place for me. It’s where I first started blogging, met many of you, conceived of Healthy Aperture and The Recipe ReDux... and ultimately, the starting point for most of the other projects that have resulted since.

But just like the ending of a good book, it’s time to close that chapter to write this new story. I’m excited for what’s in store and hope you are, too.
