After decades of fearing fat, most people are finally starting to embrace the idea that adding food sources of healthy fats to your diet is a good thing! As an RD, avocados are one of my favorite healthy fats! They're nutrient dense, packed with nearly 20 vitamins and minerals and they help with the absorption of fat-soluble vitamins.
Many people only think about using avocados as a topping on things like tacos, eggs and more, but I'm here to encourage you to think outside the box. Avocados are actually one of my favorite smoothie additions! They add all of their nutritional benefits to your smoothie, while also helping to make them extra thick and creamy.
